GOLF 

4/15/2024 

The sun was shining but the wind was blowing today at Brae Burn golf course. Geneseo came to town and walked away with a close win. Geneseo shot 202 to Dansville's 224. 

Medalist came from Geneseo as Dom Agasto shot a 46. 

Other notables were Jack Noto for Geneseo coming in with a 47. 

Leading Dansville was Ben Everett 52 and Kailubb Austin with 54. Dansville moves to 1 and 1 on the year while Genseso notched its first win and is 1 and 0. 

BASEBALL 

4/18/2024 

Dansville traveled to Wayland Cohocton and dropped a 12 - 2 contest. 

WayCo jumped on the Mustangs early, scoring 7 in the first inning and never looked back. Wayco added 2 in the 3rd and 3 in the 6th to complete their scoring.

4/16/2024 

The visiting Hornell Red Raiders came into Babcock Park and defeated the Dansville Mustangs 4-1 Tuesday afternoon. 

Hornell got onto the board in the 3rd inning scoring 3 runs on 2 hits in the inning. 

The Mustangs would get a run back in the bottom of the 4th inning.

Hornell would add a run in the top of the 7th to complete the scoring.

4/15/2024 

The Dansville Varsity Baseball defeated CalMum by a score of 15-0. 

Dansville jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after the first inning. Brian Geiger drove in Reid Martin after Martin stole second and third on the previous 2 pitches. Geiger would then steal second and third and proceed to score after a ball was mis-played on the infield. Before the inning was complete Jake Krieley would score on a wild pitch. 

The Mustangs would add 2 more runs in the top of the 4th when Ben Coffey lined a single up the middle scoring Dawsyn Mistretta and Logan Kendall. 

The Mustangs would blow the game open in the top of the 5th scoring 10 runs on 1 hit and aided by 8 walks in the inning. The lone hit was a bases clearing double by Brian Geiger. 

Dansville improves to 3-0 

Cal-mum falls to 1-2.

TRACK AND FIELD - GIRLS 

4/20/2024 

On Saturday April 20th the lady mustangs competed in Attica at the Alexander invitational. The team came in 7th out of 21 teams.

Individuals that scores points for the ladies were Mya Hayes in the 100 (13.52) and 200 (28.98), Emma Butters in the pentathlon (1706 points), Morgan Ball in the 400 (1:07.61), and Bri Hurlburt in the 800 (2:34.87). 

All 4 relay teams scored for Dansville. The 4x100 team consisting of Mya Hayes, Bri Blair, Kali Meyer, and Haley Beman took 2nd. The 4x400 team of Mya Hayes, Alivia Mosman, Morgan Ball, and Kali Meyer took 6th. The 4x 800 team of Eleni Mountzouros, Rebecca Pogel, Kali Meyer, and Brianne Hurlburt placed 4th, and the 4x100 throwers relay consisting of Madeline Hurlburt, Kiera Redance, Kaitlyn Lee, and Amelia Hurlburt places 5th! 

Other personal records were Esmee Goudsblom in the long jump (14’10”) and Aynsley Belcher in the 400 hurdles (1:32.25). 

4/17/2024 

Last night the Dansville Lady Mustangs took on the Lions of Wellsville for their third track and field meet of the season. 

The Mustangs defeated the Lions with a score of 105 to 36. 

Mya Hayes came in first in all of her events (100, 200, 4x100, 4x400) 

Other first place finishes for the Dansville girls were Emma Butters in the 100H (19.26) and long jump (14-01.75), Kassidy Cole in the 3K (13:46), Briana Blair in the Triple jump (29-10), Brianne Hurlburt in the 1500 (5:59), 800 (2:41) and was part of the 4x800 relay (12:17), Megan Tyler in the 400 (1:09). 

Many 2nd and 3rd place finishes were also achieved. 

TRACK AND FIELD - BOYS 

4/20/2024 

On Saturday, April 20th, the Dansville Boys Track and Field team competed in the Alexander Invitational held at Attica High School. The boys finished in 8th place out of 21 teams. Here are the highlights: 

Ethan Canfield 1st in shot put, 4th in discus 

Ivan Wolf-Mialky 2nd in 400m hurdles 

Corey Beman 5th in 110m hurdles 

1600m sprint medley relay 3rd place (Cole Thompson, Isaac Kurtz, Karson Qiu, Noah Gibson) 

4/16/2024 

On Tuesday, April 16th, the Dansville Bots Track and Field team hosted Wellsville. The boys were defeated by a score of 82-58. Here are the Dansville first place finishers: 

Corey Beman - 200m and Long Jump 

Ethan Canfield - Shot Put and Discus 

Ivan Wolf-Mialky - 400 Hurdles 

Ryan Burley - Pole Vault 

David Sick - Triple Jump 

TENNIS

4/22/2024 

The Dansville Varsity Tennis Team hosted Way-Coh last evening and succumbed to the Eagles with a score of 5-0. The Mustangs will host Leroy this Thursday at home. 

4/18/2024 

The Varsity Tennis Team traveled to Haverling this evening and had a great match against the Rams. Although they suffered defeat with a score of 4-1 the Mustangs performed well. Congratulations to Wyatt Swift winning at 3rd singles and the highlighted match was Dansville´s second doubles team of Casey Youngers and Avalyn Hall. Excellent effort by all! Dansville will host Way-Coh on Monday.
