4/10/2024

Bath came to Dansville just as the course dried up tonight for Dansville's first match of the year. It was a total team effort as Dansville came away with the win 210 to 221. A great season opening start. 

The Medalist came from Bath with Spencer Wheeler shooting a 44.

WRESTLING

4/7/2024

Wyatt Sartori traveled to Virginia beach April 5-7th to compete on the national stage at 2024 NHSCA High School Nationals. Wyatt would go 5-2 losing to only one competitor by close decisions each time. He would finish the tournament becoming an All American earning 4th place at the 90lb middle school division.

BASEBALL

4/10/2024

The Dansville Mustangs came back to defeat the Haverling Rams in extra innings 4-3.

Haverling jumped out to a 2 -0 lead after their first 3 at bats.  The Mustangs would cut the deficit in half in the bottom of the 3rd.  

The Rams would add another run in the top of the 4th to take a 3 - 1 lead going into the home half of the 4th inning.  

The Mustangs would plate 2 runs in the bottom of the 4th to tie the game.  The game remained 3-3 until the bottom of the 8th when Cam Delaney drove in the winning run on a single to right field bringing home Brian Geiger with the walk off victory.

Special shout out to the Dansville Maintenance staff for their hard work after a short but heavy rain to get the field playable.  Game would not have been played without you.

Dansville Mustangs traveled to Livonia to take on the Bulldogs.  Dansville walked away with a 18-9 victory.  Dansville trailed 9-6  entering the 5th inning.  In the top of the 6th inning the Mustangs exploded for 8 runs and added  4 more in the 7th to put away the Bulldogs.

TRACK AND FIELD

On Thursday, April 11th, the Dansville Boys Track and Field team competed against Wayland-Cohocton.  The Dansville boys defeated Way-Co by a score of 89-49.  Here are the first place finishers:

Ivan Wolf-Mialky - 110m hurdles, 400m hurdles

Ethan Canfield - discus, shot put

Corey Beman - long jump

Ryan Burley - pole vault

Brady Race - triple jump

4x100m relay - Corey Beman, Elijah Bender, Cole Thompson, Isaac Kurtz

4x400m relay -Ivan Wolf-Mialky, Karson Qiu, Isaac Kurtz, Cameron Claud

4x800m relay - Brycen Lemmon, Noah Gibson, Cole Thompson, Dennis Hanks

There were also many 2nd and 3rd place finishers.

This is a great way to start the season...Go Mustangs!

On Tuesday afternoon the Dansville Mustangs hosted Keshequa and Letchworth as a home opener for the outdoor track and field season. Results will be posted on Yen Timing later in the week. 

Below is Ivan Wolf-Mialky in the 400 hurdles and Esmee Goudsblom in the long jump. 

Dansville will host Wayland-Cohocton this Thursday at 4:30.

The Dansville Mustang Tennis started their season in Pavilion suffering defeat 3-2 after a well played match. Dansville is set to play Hornell tomorrow in Dansville.
